Umar Yahaya (Chairman)

Umar Yahaya (B.sc, MBA) is seasoned Boardroom executive within the Commercial and Investment Banking space. He is deeply analytical and enriches Board level discussions with his insight and experience having also served on the boards of Fidelity Bank Plc and Leadway Assurance Limited

He is currently a Non-Executive Director of PZ Cussons Foundation, Associated Haulages Nigeria Ltd and Courier Masters. He was an Executive Director of First Bank of Nigeria Limited and Managing Director/Chief Executive of New Africa Merchant Bank Limited.

He is an alumnus of the prestigious Harvard Business School, USA and the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Oloruntimilehin George (Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer)

Mr. Oloruntimilehin (Timi) George, is a seasoned banker with cognate experience spanning well over 25 years at various local and international banks; he assumed office as Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of First Pension Custodian Nigeria Limited in March 2020.

Prior to this, he served as Group Head, Financial Institutions and Multilaterals at First Bank of Nigeria Limited.

Timi has a background in Business Administration and holds an MBA in Strategic Management. He is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School and has a number of notable fellowships at institutions such as the Institute of Strategic Management, Institute of Brand Management and Institute of Credit Administration and is a Graduate Member, Nigerian Marketing Association, Associate Member, Nigerian Institute of Management, Member, National Association for Family Development (NEFAD), and Honorary Member, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and is a Member of the Institute of Directors (IOD).

Since assuming office, he has brought his indefatigable zeal and passion for excellence to bear on the entire organization and has embraced the challenges that have come with the COVID-19 pandemic with the utmost sense of responsibility. He remains undeterred in his quest to leverage his track record of leadership and in-depth knowledge of financial markets to drive the organization's audacious growth plans. His vision is to revolutionize the pension industry by transforming customer experience by leveraging technology to drive business efficiency.

Timi is a music aficionado and an ardent lover of football; he enjoys reading and having robust debates about economic empowerment.

Bunmi Aderonmu (Executive Director, Operations & IT)

Ms. Bunmi Aderonmu is the Executive Director, Operations & Information Technology.

Until her appointment in March 2020, Bunmi served the company in the capacity of Chief Financial Officer; she is a consummate professional with experience spanning over two decades in the area of Operations and Financial Control within the Nigerian financial services industry.

Prior to joining First Pension Custodian Nigeria Limited as a pioneer staff, she worked with First Bank of Nigeria Plc (now First Bank of Nigeria Limited) where she served in various roles.

Bunmi is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Ilorin. In addition, she has taken various courses and attended several programmes at top-rated business schools including Lagos Business School (AMP), Columbia Business School, IMD, Switzerland and Chicago Booth School of Business. She is an Associate of the Institute of Directors (IOD).

Ijeoma Nwogwugwu (Non-Executive Director)

Ijeoma Nwogwugwu (B.Sc., PG Cert. International Housing Finance) is a business leader with over 25 years of experience in the banking, media and the public sector. She is a member of the Nigerian Union of Journalists and the Nigerian Guild of Editors.

She has also previously sat on the boards of the Nigerian Security Printing & Minting Company Limited, Daily Times of Nigeria Plc. and the National Hospital Abuja. She is currently the Managing Director/CEO of ARISE News Channel Africa (a subsidiary of THISDAY-ARISE Media Group) and had held several positions in the Group prior to this appointment, including Editor and Director Editorial, THISDAY Newspaper.

In addition to sitting on the Board of First Pension Custodian, Ijeoma is currently a Group Executive Director of THISDAY-ARISE Media Group and Non-Executive Director of Ikeja Electric Plc.


Dr. Philip Olufunwa (Non-Executive Director)

Dr. Philip Olufunwa (MBBS, MRCOG, DFFP) has over 35 years of working experience, during which period he has developed a great measure of skill in leadership. He previously served as a Director of the Central London (Westminster) Clinical Commission Group and has been a lecturer of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at University of London Medical School.

He has also worked at Barts's Newham Hospital, Westminster Health Authority and Hammersmith hospital. In 1995, he became a General Practitioner with a special interest in Gynaecology and founded the Westbourne Green Surgery, London in 1996.

He is a member of the Royal College of Obstetrician Gynecologists, a fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, a patron of the London Nigeria Rugby Club and currently a full member of the Institute of Directors, London.

Mercy A. DaSilva (Non-Executive Director)

Mercy A. DaSilva (B.Sc., MBA, CPA, CGMA, FCA, CAMS) is a seasoned professional with over twenty-six years of experience in finance, accounting, taxation, human resources, information system, facilities management, administration, operations and budgeting. She is currently the founder and CEO of Merant Financial Group, a renowned Accounting, Tax and Consulting firm based in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA and had served as Chairman, Board of Trustees, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), USA Chapter.

Mercy is well versed in the financial management of non-profit associations and institutions, and possess both public and private accounting experience. She is a member of many professional associations including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CPA), Maryland Association of CPA, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Maryland Society of Accountants, National Association of Female Executives and Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists.

Patrick Iyamabo (Non-Executive Director)

Patrick Iyamabo is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of First Bank of Nigeria Limited (FirstBank), with accountability for the finance function of FirstBank and all its subsidiaries. He joined FirstBank in 2016 from FCMB Group Plc after nine years, where he was Senior Vice President of Strategy and M&A at First City Monument Bank Ltd and thereafter the Group Chief Financial Officer. Has over 25 years professional experience spanning finance, accounting, strategy, risk management and business development, during which he advised / worked for local and multinational institutions, within and outside Nigeria, at executive management level.

Patrick also worked at Arthur Anderson offering audit and financial assurance services to financial institutions, where he was also a founding member of the risk management practice. At various times, he worked with Booz Allen Hamilton in New York and LEK Consulting in Boston providing strategic management and corporate finance services to private and listed corporations.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from Ahmadu Bello University (B. Pharm) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with dual majors in Finance and Strategic Management from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and was selected into various Global Immersion Programmes across Asia and Europe. He also attended INSEAD Singapore MBA exchange programme. He has further attended various executive and specialised programmes at the Harvard Business School and The Wharton School.

A Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA); Fellow, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCITN); member Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria; and Honorary Senior Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (HCIB).

He is widely travelled.

Mr. Adeniyi Odunsi(Independent Non-Executive Director)

Mr. Adeniyi Odunsi is a legal practitioner with over 30 years of experience in Corporate Legal Practice and Mediation which, has helped him develop sound business acumen, critical thinking, interpersonal and excellent communication skills. He is independently minded but also a team player with strong principles and high integrity. He is the Senior Partner, Adeniyi Odunsi & Co.

He is a member, Nigerian Bar Association, Standing Committee of Mediation Advocates, UK, Social Justice Foundation, South Africa and Eye Foundation Hospital, Research Ethics Committee.

Mr. Adeniyi Odunsi is an author and enjoys travelling.”
