OLORUNtimilehin George is widely recognized for his purposeful leadership, strategic insight, and entrepreneurial drive. As Managing Director/CEO of First Pension Custodian Nigeria Limited since March 2020, he has combined these strengths with a diverse professional background to drive remarkable transformation.
Under his leadership, the company’s Assets Under Custody (AUC) have grown remarkably from about N3 trillion in March 2020 to over N12 trillion as of October 2025. As CEO, OLORUNtimilehin has driven strategies that enhance shareholder value while promoting a culture of excellence, innovation, and integrity anchored on the organization’s Code of Business Conduct. A firm advocate of strategic clarity, he consistently pursues new growth opportunities and ensures that organizational goals remain measurable, agile, and future focused.
Prior to his current role, he served as Group Head, Financial Institutions and Multilaterals at First Bank of Nigeria (2018–2020), and earlier, spent nearly 8years at Standard Chartered Bank across functions, delivering exceptional results across complex financial transactions. With over 30years of experience, his expertise spans Pensions, FIs, Treasury & Trading, Institutional & Corporate Banking, Public Sector, Branch Management and Operations, and Retail and Consumer Banking. He is known for his strategic innovation, team leadership, and relationship management. His expertise encompasses transaction origination, team leadership, and driving growth in key financial institutions, Pension & Banking.
A passionate advocate for continuous learning, OLORUNtimilehin is a graduate of Business Administration, an MBA in Strategic Management, and an MBA Essentials from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is an alumnus of the Advanced Management Program (AMP 20) at Lagos Business School and the Advanced Management and Leadership Program (AM&LP 2025) at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. He has also completed Management Development Program and Wharton Executive Presence and Influence: Persuasive Leadership Development at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and earned the Oxford Executive Leadership Program from Saïd Business School. In addition, he holds a Diploma in Corporate Governance from the Corporate Governance Institute and Glasgow Caledonian University.
OLORUNtimilehin has made notable contributions to the Financial Services sector through various leadership roles. He currently serves on the Pension Industry Leadership Council as Chairman of the Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy Committee and chaired the inaugural Pension Industry Leadership Retreat Committee. He also served on the Executive Committee and Governing Council of the Pension Fund Operators Association of Nigeria (PenOp). For over 7 years, he was a coordinator of the Bankers’ Committee Sub-Committee on Economic Development, Sustainability, and Gender, where he championed improved access to finance for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
He is affiliated with several prestigious professional bodies, including the Forbes Business Council, the Chartered Institute of Directors (CIoD), the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (Honorary Member), the Institute of Strategic Management (Fellow), and the Institute of Credit Administration (Fellow).
OLORUNtimilehin is passionate about economic empowerment, social impact, and is known for his collaborative leadership style. Outside of work, he is a music aficionado and social connoisseur.
