Abass Kolawole is a seasoned professional with over 16 years of extensive experience in the financial institution industry, having successfully navigated various roles in audit, control, and information systems audit functions. As an associate member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Abass has demonstrated a strong commitment to professional excellence.
With an MSc in Finance from the University of Lagos and a degree in Banking and Finance from Lagos State University, Abass possesses a solid academic foundation that underpins his technical expertise. Throughout his illustrious career, he has participated in numerous executive training programs, including leadership, critical thinking and decision-making, ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) Lead Auditor, internal audit and control, and compliance management. These training programs have not only enhanced his expertise but also honed his leadership skills, enabling him to drive strategic initiatives and deliver high-impact results.
Abass’s areas of competence span Internal Audit, Process Improvement, IT Audit, IT Control, IT Security and other areas of Information Security management, where he excels in conducting audits, identifying and mitigating security risks, designing and implementing controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing assurance on the effectiveness of IT systems and controls.
