John Egbi

John Egbi is an accomplished professional with over two decades of experience in pension fund management, enterprise risk, project delivery, and financial services. He is known for his results-driven leadership and ability to translate complex processes into efficient, technology-enabled solutions.

As Head of Contribution Management at First Pension Custodian Nigeria Limited, John provides strategic oversight of contribution inflows, reconciliation, and compliance—ensuring accuracy, transparency, and reliability across all transactions. His leadership strengthens the company’s role as the trusted custodian of pension assets while driving continuous improvement in client service and operational efficiency.

Prior to this role, John served as Head of Risk Management at FPC, where he implemented a robust Enterprise Risk Management framework, championed the adoption of ISO 27001 standards, and enhanced organizational resilience through stronger governance and data protection structures. His career within the company also spans leadership roles in Fund Account, Project Implementation, Settlements, Fund Reconciliation, Trade Processing, and Corporate Actions. Prior to joining the organization, he worked with our parent company, First Bank of Nigeria as IT Support Senior Officer.

John holds an MBA from the University of South Wales, a BSc in Computer Science and Mathematics and professional certifications including PRINCE2 Practitioner. He has further strengthened his leadership expertise through executive programs at Harvard Business School in Organizational Leadership and Management Essentials.
