Olatunji Odesanya (Executive Director, Business Development)
Olatunji (“Tunji”) Odesanya brings over two decades of experience in the Nigerian capital markets to his role as Executive Director at First Pensions Custodian Limited. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Accounting from the University of Lagos. He is also a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations, in addition to being a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (ACS).
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Odesanya served as General Manager and the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at FCMB Pensions Limited, where he oversaw substantial growth in Assets under Management, from ₦254 billion to approximately ₦1.3 trillion over an eight-year period. He also led the integration of investment assets following the acquisition of AIICO PFA by FCMB pensions, aligning teams, strategies, and portfolios under a unified investment framework.
Earlier in his career, Tunji served as Managing Director, Coronation Securities, and EFCP Limited (Now StoneX Nigeria). He also served in acting capacity as the Managing Director at FBN Securities. Prior to that, he worked at AXA Mansard, and Vetiva Capital Management Limited, where he developed extensive expertise in investment strategy, business development, portfolio management, proprietary trading and capital markets. He is recognized for his sound judgment and disciplined leadership in engagements with boards, executive committees, and institutional stakeholders.
Tunji maintains an active interest in economic and political affairs and is a keen follower of the National Basket Association (NBA) and football.
